Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both painting two of their work vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans and also donate $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to raise funds for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his employees both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were inspired to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute says that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the amount of cases is actually going down each year, that still constitutes a huge number of families who are dealing with this disease, and therefore we have an immediate need for research and support.”

Service Experts of Raleigh’s General Manager, Chris Overton, reiterated Schneider’s sentiments. “As reported by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in the state – for women and men.”
