How a Whole Home Humidifier or Dehumidifier Works
We put in a whole-home dehumidifier or humidifier as part of your HVAC system and air ducting. It regulates humidity as your furnace, heat pump or air conditioner operates.
The humidifier uses a pad and rotating drum or steaming system to increase moisture levels. The dehumidifier takes in moist air and cools it. Then it transfers additional moisture into a pan or drain.
Both systems are more useful than their compact counterparts, which can only handle a single room at a time. A whole-home system also needs a lesser amount of service than a lightweight dehumidifier or humidifier.
